Now all you’ve got to do is start reading it. But where to begin? It’s not like you’ll be able to finish reading it in one night. But you’ve got to start somewhere, so here’s the lowdown on the highlights of this year’s edition of page33.
10 years in Amal Jyothi
Well, it’s been 10 years since Amal Jyothi was first started. But it’s not just the walls of Amal Jyothi that have been standing strong for the past decade. 10 years in Amal Jyothi takes you on a ‘one-to-one’ with people who have been Amalites since the birth of the College.
The Art Section
Art doesn’t always need words to express feeling. Turn to the end, where you’ll find pencil drawings and paintings in varied colors. Who created these masterpieces? Well, that would be the work of our very own Da Vincis.
The Gems of AJCE
Ever wonder what it means to be a gem of AJCE? Well, in this year’s page33, they bare it all for us to read. Funny, inspiring, and memorable, this section is one that you won’t want to miss.
A Better Tomorrow
Life has its ups and downs. But whenever life gets you down, you just have to pick yourself up. ‘A Better Tomorrow’ is a collection of articles that brings these ideas to the forefront.
Creative Writings
It’s true the Amal Jyothi is not just home to engineers and innovators. There’s an assortment of stories and articles in page33 that just goes to show how talented the students and staff really are when it comes to creative writing.
The Alumnus
Once an Amalite, always an Amalite. Most of us wonder where we’ll be once we leave the campus. But for those who have already left, their questions have already been answered. In a special Alumni Interaction, Sofia Mathew, Nitin Prabhakar and Joe Baby Joseph talk about their experiences on and off campus.
Wanderlust
Most of us can’t wait for semester breaks so that we can pack our bags and travel to some exotic location. Wanderlust is a travelogue of an Amalite who actually went off travelling to places that most of us only dream of going. So, if you’re planning on going somewhere wild, make sure you read Wanderlust.
The Decennial Year: Visually
Sure, 10 years sounds like a lot of time. But even this past year had so much going on. From Azure and Arena, to the mega Yuva Mastermind Contest, this Decennial year has seen so much. The magazine is a storehouse of photos showing the fun and commitment of these events and more.
2011 YOP
They may not be here anymore, but their presence is always strong. They’ve always been there for us, and are once again, as they uncover the marvels and mysteries of graduation.
face2face
If there’s anything that everyone in AJCE knows about, then it’s Facebook. face2face takes the reader on a tour of the different perspectives of AmalJyothi in a Facebook-ish way.
So… have you decided what you want to read yet?????
I know, it all sounds pretty great. But there’s loads more. This barely covers the basics. So, whether you’re pouring through the magazine in your room at home, or with friends in the hostel, enjoy it!
