“Heed us too, please. . . “

A stunning scene welcomed some of our students today. A note was written over one of the desks using white chalk. The message was “Keep the class rooms clean. Leave the toffee wrappers and paper pieces in the waste basket. WE TOO ARE HUMANS”. Lines born out of extreme suppressed emotions and it draws a clean picture of mere helplessness.

A writing on one of the class room desks

Students of Amaljyothi were warned in the past by the management to keep their class rooms and surroundings neat and tidy. As a matter of fact we have indeed formed a special code of conduct for the same. Most of the students really obey these rules and strive really hard to make their college look beautiful as ever. But, the work of some will spoil the good deeds of many and this is what we are seeing right now. Earlier. there were complaints from the CCF lab, library and all about the indecent manners of some our students. Students must understand that the room re-arrangement and cleaning staff are less in number and considering the size of our college, their work will become very tedious if we continue to do the same. Under any circumstances this behavior cannot be exempted.

All the students of Amaljyothi have a responsibility towards the college management and the staff. The people working in the class room re-arrangement and cleaning department are very much senior to us in age and social experience. They sacrifice a lot for our welfare and disrespect to them will become disrespect to the God himself. We hope that the students will keep this aspect in their mind.

(Note: Kindly do not scold any of the staff members for this. We take up the responsibility and it was really our mistake. We are sorry!!!)
